Wage and Hour Law
Bodzy Law represents workers in wage and hour disputes, collective and class actions, and complex misclassification cases. With more than two decades of litigation experience, we approach each matter with the same focus: to understand how the violations occurred, identify who is responsible, and pursue the compensation the law provides. Our goal is to bring structure, accountability, and fairness to situations where those legal rights have been ignored.

Who We Help
We advocate for workers in New Jersey and Tennessee who:
- Worked more than forty hours but were not paid overtime
- Were asked to work before or after their shift or during unpaid breaks without recording the time
- Were paid as independent contractors even though the company controlled their work or they performed the core services of the company
- Saw unlawful deductions or pay adjustments
- Were terminated after raising questions about their pay
Our Wage and Hour Practice Areas
01
Class Actions
Suing your employer over individual wage claims is often not taken seriously by your employer, but if those claims are aggregated over dozens, hundreds, or thousands of workers who were treated similarly, you will get their attention. A claim over a few thousand dollars is a cost of doing business that is easily dismissed by an employer, but a claim on behalf of an entire class of employees can have six, seven, or eight figure implications for an employer.
02
Misclassification
When workers are treated like employees but paid as contractors, overtime and other protections may be lost. We maximize recovery on behalf of misclassified contractors. When workers are misclassified as exempt from receiving overtime pay, we pursue the pay they have earned.
03
Other Wage and Hour Claims
If work was required outside recorded hours, we assess the expectations, communications, and actual duties to determine if a violation occurred.
